We’re looking to expand the bar team at our Walthamstow taproom!

The successful candidate should be passionate about all things craft and independent. They need excellent customer service skills, and to be comfortable occasionally working shifts alone. Bar experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

We are a London Living Wage employer and your starting rate will be at least in line with the London Living Wage and will otherwise depend on your experience. You will be working around 5 hours a week, mostly on Saturday afternoons/evenings, with flexibility required to cover the holidays of other staff. For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to pick up more hours in the future as our business grows. This role will start as a contracted role with the possibility of moving to employed status at a later date.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

  • Willingness to learn how to care for cask beers, including racking, venting, tapping and monitoring beer condition
  • Ability to lift heavy items (as part of team lifting and in accordance with health & safety requirements)
  • Willingness to work primarily weekends and evenings
  • Ability to quickly learn about our range of beers and gins in order to be able to present them to customers
  • Good work ethic

Desirable:

  • Good knowledge of beer, preferably including cask beer
  • Experience of caring for cask beers, including racking, venting, tapping and monitoring beer condition
